Dear Martin,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I am leaving Radio Shack.  I can work up to, but not past, Friday, September 9.

Multiple circumstances have factored into my decision.  I have been offered a job by a tech-support company that will afford me the financial and scheduling flexibility I would like.  I have now worked at Radio Shack for nearly four years, and am ready for a change.

However, my career at Radio Shack has been a satisfying one.  I have gained a variety of knowledge and experience, and have developed skills which will be useful to me for the rest of my career.  Most notably, I am grateful for the privilege and the pleasure of working for you, both here and at Oxmoor Center.  You have met or exceeded everything I would ask of an ideal manager, and your management goes a long way toward making your store a great place to work.  Moreover, you undertook considerable effort to bring me to your store, which is very much appreciated.  With all this in consideration, my decision to leave Radio Shack is not an easy one.

Please accept this as my two weeks' notice.  You have a great team of employees, and I hold very high hopes for you and your store in the future.

                                                                Sincerely,
