ILOVECASHMAN: I don't know which I'd prefer, really. If they sign him they're likely in the hole like 65 million, but then again this guy could be the real deal. I'm just glad something is taking up Theo's time so I can get some one-on-one business done around here. |

TheoElDio: Fellas, fellas. It's called identifying needs and adapting to a slim market. I realize that without starting pitchers the Red Sox are not going to make the postseason. I'm forced to overspend and considering the plans I have for this club for the next 5-10 years I found it profitable to make a bid that ensures my gaining talks with a talented pitcher with ace stature. I don't have to even keep this guy you know. |
