Justin: So we brought this young guy, Mitch - no, Mark -
Jon: Mark?
Justin: Mark Pencini, on for a day-shoot and from the moment he arrived he was nothing but a headache. So we're getting ready to shoot, right? And we've got a small window of oppertunity as the UCLA dorm room we were using as our location was slated to be the site of that night's Thirsty Thursdays Halo and Super Smash Brothers: Melee all-campus tournament. And here's this kid, fresh out of Hollywood Backlot acting school, locked in the bathroom and refusing to come out until he gets his non-foam latte served to him in a high-heel shoe. Now here I am, having been around the business for so long as I have, catering towards some smart-aleck lucky enough to not be working the Friday night presentation of William Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" down at Uncle Jasper's Good Time Family Feeding Emporium and Dinner Theatre. I was ready to wipe my hands of the whole scene, but luckily Jon proved once again his role as the Yin to my Yang and calmly explained that cutting the shot would ruin established continuity within the canon of the Hangin' Out Gang universe. So we met his requests, eventually, and filmed the shot. For what its worth I think everything came out well considering the duress we were being put under at the time. I'm a creator though. I thrive under pressure. Its the nature of the beast.
