So what do I really think about Maddox's website?
Maddox isn't really that bad. On a 1-10 scale of writers on the Internet, I'd give him about a 6. An asshole writing intentionally inflammatory bullshit is nothing new, but at least he can crack a funny joke every now and then.
My problem really lies with the hundreds of thousands of assholes who worship Maddox. How is it that much funnier websites, with much more time put into them, don't get half the traffic that Maddox enjoys? It's my hypothesis that at least 75% of Maddox's fanbase are passive individuals who spring a woody whenever they read someone with strong opinions on things. Then they get all giddy because they have found someone's worldview to emulate. As a result, Maddox has legions of mal-assertive pussies under his command.
And most who happen to take offense to him end up making complete assholes of themselves. The Internet is full of clueless, narrow-minded people, and they waddle like lemmings to Maddox's inbox so he can punk them out like the Harlem Globetrotters against the New York Nationals. It feeds the beast further. I encourage you all to do what I have decided to do.
Now, normally I am more accustomed to pitching a complete-game shutout rather than pitching something in the trash can. But I decided that this is the only way.
