Plot summary: "The Jetsons" was a show about an atrophied family living one hundred years in the future who despite advances in social technology have the exact same weekly problems that plagued the Flintstones dozens of thousands of years ago. If you give into the demands of the singing narrator and MEET GEORGE JETSON et al you discover that the future is run lazily in the lower atmosphere via a sophisticated arrangement of single red buttons. These buttons operate everything from motorized walkways and home appliances to electronic Negro slave labor.

Uniblab is a robot purchased by George Jetson's employer Mr. Spacely with intent to maximize production and efficiency at Spacely Sprockets, leading competitor of Cogswell Cogs. Why Spacely and Cogswell were competing despite making two completely different products is beyond me. If Spacely one day decided he wanted to make a better cog then sure, Buy Robot. But as it stands needing artificial intelligence to tell a man in blue slacks and potato-sack space booties that he doesn't push the big red button well enough seems like procedural overkill. Even the robot knows it. When Spacely isn't around he swindles the employees out of money Vegas style and basically tells them to go fuck themselves click click fuck themselves.

User Comments: I love that in the future we transport our children from the car to the elementary school by way of an escape pod but all the robots look two seconds from Gort. One part dildo and two parts big man's thermometer, Uniblab took the charm of the 1960s' optimistic future and replaced the upward momentum that lead to the moon landing with WE WILL ONE DAY PLAY CARDS WITH A GIANT MAN OF METAL.

Uniblab's two-faced nature (and the fact that by nomenclature he talked to everyone) lead to his downfall, as helpful janitor Henry rewired the robot to be fat guy goes nutso instead of bossy. Spacely's arrogance about his purchase backfires as he introduces Uniblab to his investors immediately following the rewiring, and everyone gets offered a game of roulette and sprayed with coffee. Mr. Spacely (brilliantly voiced acted by the late Mel Blanc, AKA Scary Spice) rightfully goes apeshit and fires him, banishing Uniblab to the depths of the ocean where he must stare at the blue fairy until he realizes the movie probably should've ended here.

Uniblab can be seen in later episodes as an assistant to Henry, sending pink sawdust to child vomit using a tube.
