Tagline: "Hello! It's me!"
Plot summary: I like to think "Cow and Chicken" was so named because that's as
far as they got into writing the show before it was put on the air. GUESS WHAT THE SHOW
WAS ABOUT. If you're looking for an interesting character on the show, say. Hello. To the
Red Guy. Red Guy, taking a break from racing Light Cycles with the blue guy, is by all
accounts the devil. However, he is the devil with a very important theological addition to
the Christian mythos: When he appears to man in physical form he gives himself a name that
has something to do with his ass.
Seriously, that was the entire joke of the character. He didn't wear pants so he called
himself "Officer Pantsoffsky" or "Uncle Breezybum." So "Donnie
Dickhangingout" would show up to persuade Cow and Chicken to do evil things (like
fuck instead of cluck or give DANGEROUS MILKS) and revel in the outcome. Because he's the
devil, I guess. I don't know, I can't afford enough drugs to lull myself into the lifelong
path of delusional self-worth required to enjoy Cartoon Cartoons. The best I can muster is
laughing to my friends when I call him "Admiral Buttfuckery."
I also liked it when he'd show up to take folks' money on
"Press Your Luck." (more)
User Comments: The worst The Red Guy ever
got was when he'd bother supporting cast members "Flem and Earl," and not so
much because of the show but because they were asking me to accept characters named
"Flem and Earl." I was a Super Nintendo kid but I KNOW of "Toejam and
Earl" and funking loved it. And I know somewhere there is an entire generation of
kids who have no idea that Toejam existed and think Flem and Earl are just HILARIOUS. Like
when somebody these days goes "ONE OF US ONE OF US," and I know they've never
seen "Freaks" and are just referencing the Clerks cartoon. That's fucking
depressing.
Way to make me feel old and out of touch with the youth of America, movie that came out 75
years ago.
