Six years later, Franco had transformed from a perennial All-Star to a struggling 38-year-old journeyman. After moving to Milwaukee in a midseason trade, he managed to hit a full hundred points lower in his new home than he once did. "It was like all the fun had been sucked out of the game," he said. "Everyone was talking about making the game more 'real'. They talked about 'FMV' and 'polygons', whatever those meant. All I knew was, it just wasn't fun anymore."
